Description Overall objective : To strengthen good neighborly relations and cooperation in the green energy sector for development of social entrepreneurship by establishing energy cooperatives in the cross-border region

Specific objective: To increase capacities and knowledge and to create new employment opportunities through establishment of energy cooperatives in the cross-border region

Main activities:
AC1 – Overview of inter-sectoral capacities and interest for cooperation in establishment of energy cooperatives and development of social entrepreneurship (Op1)
A1.1. Organizing Information event about promotion of social entrepreneurship through establishment of energy cooperatives.
A1.2. Round table for mapping of actors, their expertise, capacities and exchange of experience and identification of cooperation interest for establishment of energy cooperatives.
A1.3. “Market analysis “- overview of the current situation and needs for cooperation and production of energy from renewable sources (RES-based energy) in the cross-border region
A1.4. Analysis with recommendations to the municipalities in establishment of RES-based energy cooperatives and their rule in development of social entrepreneurship.
AC2 – Establishment of new cooperation model (Energy cooperative) for development of social entrepreneurship through set-up of pilot project for production of RES-based energy and EE
A2.1. Preparation of Municipal plans for investments in renewable energies and measures for improvement of energy efficiency for municipalities of Butel and Medveđa
A2.2. Energy inspections of targeted public buildings in municipalities of Butel and Medveđa
A2.3. Establishment of new energy cooperatives and procedures for delivery of RES-based energy in the cross-border region
A2.4. Employment of unemployed and inactive working age population in energy cooperatives
A2.5. Set up of pilot project for small investment in equipment for production of RES-based energy and reconstruction of public buildings with measures for improvement of energy efficiency as demonstration units in the cross-border region
AC3 – Share of EU experience – Increase knowledge and capacities of CSOs, business sector and local authorities through transfer of know-how EU experience and best practices
A3.1. Tailor-made training for the potential members and employees of energy cooperatives on “How to start: Building initiative and the role of energy cooperatives in the cross-border region”– description: Energy cooperative national and European directives, strategies, policies and frameworks and networking
A3.2. Organising workshop on “Increasing employment initiatives through additional RES-based energy production – Development of social entrepreneurship through energy cooperatives”
A3.3. Conducting targeted fair visit to transfer of EU experience and best practices about the viability of energy cooperatives, increasing employment initiatives and replication of energy cooperatives model in the cross-border region
AC4 – Promotional activities to raise public awareness on social entrepreneurship through energy cooperatives
A4.1. Development of promotional materials
A4.2. Establishment of mutual website for both energy cooperatives in the cross-border region
A4.3. Implementation of social media campaign on promotion of social entrepreneurship through energy cooperatives
A4.4. Organizing Final event with presentation of project results and region traditional gastronomy promotion
A4.5. Development of Communication and visibility plan

Expected results Expected results:
1: Identified inter-sectoral capacities and interest for cooperation in establishment of energy cooperatives and development of social entrepreneurship, with received recommendations
2: Established new replicable cooperation models (Energy cooperatives) and new employments
3: Increased knowledge and capacities of CSOs, business sector and local authorities and transferred know-how EU experience and best practices
4: Raised public awareness on development of social entrepreneurship through establishment of new cooperation model – energy cooperatives
