Via Dinarica in IPA CBC programmes

This video was produced by the EU-funded regional technical assistance project “CBIB+2” in 2018. It summarises the achievements of four EU-funded projects implemented under different programmes and united under the same concept.

Via Dinarica concept was born in 2006 with the idea to promote and develop the local communities and small businesses active at local, national, and international level in the field of hospitality, service and tourism, as well as agriculture and cultural heritage. Its purpose could start being fulfilled much later with the assistance of donors such as the European Union, connecting the countries and communities, cities and rural areas of the Dinaric Alps by creating a unique and diversified tourist offer based on natural beauties, traditional products and cultural heritage. The first concrete step was taken at the beginning of 2011, when the project ‘Establishing Via Dinarica – a preface to regional cooperation platform’ started its implementation under the IPA cross-border programme Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro. The initiative was carried on further through the project ‘Sustainable tourist development- From Herzegovina trails to Dubrovnik Elafiti islands’ financed under the IPA programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina and the project ‘Via Peaks of Dinaric Alps – ViP Dinarica’ belonging to the IPA programme Montenegro-Kosovo. And it got another episode thanks to the operation called ‘Extension of ViP DinaricA’ recently contracted under the IPA programme Albania – Kosovo.
