With the support of the European Union within the project Disasters do not know borders 2, a cross-border demonstration exercise on fire protection and rescue was held in Podgorica on June 3, 2022, in which 35 rescuers from Montenegro and Albania checked and showed preparedness to respond to this disaster.

The exercise was organised following the four-day training of rescuers from these two countries, which included theoretical and practical part, during which they learned about modern methods of protection and rescue in case of fire. The trainers were fire officers and instructors of the Fire Brigade Association of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County with decades of experience in this field in Croatia – Nikola Tramontana, Dario Gauš, Siniša Kauzlarić and Igor Hrelja.
