A study visit to Austria was organised on 8 and 9 November 2023, as part of the ”Business enabling environment for youth employment – BEYOND” project activities.

The visit was organized for a delegation of 28 people, which consisted of representatives of 5 technical secondary schools from Serbia (Priboj, Prijepolje and Nova Varoš) and Montenegro (Nikšić, Pljevlja), representatives of professional institutions, representatives of companies from the private sector, as well as representatives project teams from RDA Zlatibor and Tehnopolis from Nikšić.

On the first day of the visit, the participants visited the company Meusburger – a leading manufacturer in the field of high-precision standard parts, such as the production of molds, templates and steel fixtures. The participants were presented with the dual system of education in Austria, the concept of the training system in the Meusburger company, the method of engaging trainers, as well as the networking of the private, educational and institutional sectors in the technological province of Vorarlberg/Austria. The participants also visited the secondary vocational school in Bregenz, which is in the dual system of education, and which closely cooperates with companies in the environment.

On the second day, the participants visited the i-Messe training fair, which is intended for elementary school students and their parents, so that the students can practically get to know potential future occupations. Numerous companies present themselves at the fair and inform students and their parents about job profiles and various opportunities for further training. More than 80 types of crafts were presented.

The study visit was an opportunity for the participants to see how the dual education system works in practice and the synchronised cooperation of the economy, education and state sectors, all with the aim of creating young qualified workers who have the opportunity to advance in their professions.
