How to Design Quality Project Proposals under IPA CBC programmes on internal WB borders

When: In April – July2011

Where: Training locations will be defined in line with the place of residence of the registered participants.

Why: To prepare the potential applicants of the IPA cross-border programmes in Albania for successful application process within the upcoming Calls for Proposals.

Target groups: Potential applicants of the cross-border programmes: government Institutions and agencies, local authorities, government or non-profit educational institutions, universities and research institutions, CSOs, professional associations, chambers of commerce, public utility companies, regional development agencies etc.

Topics: Project preparation (logical framework approach: problem and stakeholder analysis, strategy and intervention logic, assumptions and preconditions, indicators and sources of verification, budget) and application process

Duration: Three-day training sessions

Language: The training sessions will be delivered in Albanian.

Registration: You can apply using CBIB online application form or by fax + 355 4 22 39 909.

Deadline for registration: 28th March 2011

Logistics:

The participation in the trainings is free of charge and includes detailed documentation and refreshments.

The participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and costs, if needed.

Within 7 days after you have submitted your registration, you will receive an e-mail on the status of your application and, if the form submitted didn’t contain all the data needed, request for additional information. After the assessment of the received applications, the trainees will be grouped according to their previous experience, knowledge and place of residence.

The tentative training schedule and location together with all other information will be communicated to you within three weeks (21 days) before the planned training date.

Project Preparation Training Sessions held in 2009 and 2010:

The second round of trainings sessions on project preparation was conducted by CBIB in autumn 2009 in Albania and the former Yugoslav Republic of Albania and from February to August 2010 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia. In total, 1036 Potential Applicants were trained in 45 training sesions in five countries!

We hereby wish to thank all our trainers and colleagues who have travelled extensively throghout the Region in order to make this possible, as well as potential applicants from these five countries whose interest and desire to obtain knowledge on all mechanisms necessary to submit a grant application form for funding from IPA CBC funds kept us going and enabled for good quality training events!

Open Invitation: register for training!

Dear Potential Applicants,

During the last four years CBIB has organised more than 120 events – seminars, workshops, training sessions for more than 4500 potential applicants and, since recently, for grant beneficiaries in the Western Balkan region.

Nevertheless, the capacity building activities, especially training sessions, are always requested and the number of those that would like to benefit from these activities is increasing.

In order to fulfil the needs of the potential applicants of WB IPA CBC programmes and support them in enhancing their project preparation and implementation capacities we have decided to launch the non-stop on-line registration service for the following training modules:

HOW TO APPLY

If you would like to participate in CBIB training sessions, first you need to fill in the on-line registration form. Please keep in mind that the fields marked with the asterisk (*) are mandatory!

TRAINING ORGANISATION – IMPORTANT NOTE

Please note that the following preconditions must be fulfilled for the training to take place:

Minimum 20 participants – sufficient number of participants registered for the same type of the training;

Training location will be defined in line with the place of residence of the registered participants;

No Call for Proposals open in the country where the training is to take place for any of the IPA CBC programmes with Western Balkan neighbours;

Participation fee in the amount of 40 EUR per participant for the two-day training sessions (covering training materials, coffee and lunch breaks expenditures) and 50EUR per participant for the three-day training sessions (covering training materials, coffee and lunch breaks).

TRAINING LOGISTICS

Within seven days after you have submitted your registration, you will receive an e-mail on the status of your application and, if the form submitted didn’t contain all the data needed, request for additional information.

The tentative training schedule and location together with all other information will be communicated to you within three weeks (21 day) before the planned training date. The change of the planned date is possible and will be made in agreement with the participants.

Training sessions for Grant Beneficiaries:

In cooperation with programme Joint Technical Secretariats, CBIB is holding training sessions on secondary procurement and grant implementation for grant beneficiaries awarded contracts under the first Calls for Proposals. These are three-day training sessions aimed at assisting the grant beneficiaries in comprehending all aspects of complex project management and implementation and successfully getting their projects off ground.
