| Description | Overall objective: Improving sustainable environmental planning and promotion of biodiversity by improving public services (administration, inspection and monitoring systems) in relation to solid waste and wastewater management Specific objective: Enhanced effectiveness of public services and practices in relation to solid waste and wastewater management through joint initiatives at both sides of border. Activity 1.1.1. Organizing tow round tables and workshops for EA and EIs in CB region Activity 1.1.2. Gap analysis of existing environmental legislation and procedures in W&WM enforced by EA Activity 1.1.3 Creating data base of W&WM by mapping damps and municipalities landfills, soil pollution caused by wild damps and creation of a water pollutant cadaster in Srem District and B-Z region with study of dumps and land fields distribution Activity 1.1.4 Experts seminar (transfer of knowledge on environmental legislation) Activity 1.1.5 Signing protocol of cooperation between lead applicant and co-applicant 1 and exchange of experience and best practice Activity 1.2.1 Publication of recommendation for revision of inspection internal procedures and field procedures for inspection of W&WM Activity 1.2.2 Expert seminar in order to exchange information transfer of knowledge/experience for EI between EU and EI and applicants institutions Activity 1.2.3 Purchasing new equipment needed for increase of effectiveness od EI public services Activity 1.2.4 Practical training for EIs with inspection simulations of particular pollution sites Activity 1.2.5 Signing protocol for further exchange of experiences between lead applicant and co-applicant 2 Activity 1.3.1 Equipping for solid waste and wastewater analysis Activity 1.3.2 Transfer of knowledge and experience through the expert seminar for public laboratory and applicant institutions in order to exchange information and promote the level of cooperation Activity 1.3.3 Establishment of cooperation between environmental laboratories in the region with the purpose to improve solid waste and wastewater analytical practices Activity 1.3.4 Signing of a protocol for further exchange of experiences between co-applicant 3 and associate Activity 1.4.1 Organizing seminars in order to improve cooperation with NGOs and citizens through education on proper management of solid waste and wastewater and improvement of communication and cooperation with inspection in Sremska Mitrovica and Bijeljina Activity 1.4.2 Conducting public awareness and media campaign on importance of proper W&WM and environmental protection Activity 1.4.3 Promoting measures to open access to environmental information for the public and environmental NGOs |
