Description Overall objective: The project aims to enhance economic growth and sustainable employment opportunities of industrial SMEs in the cross-border area of Sarajevo Macroregion and Zlatibor District
Specific objective: Build and support the growth of green and smart innovation, cooperation and commercialization capacities of SMEs from strategic sectors (e.g. wood manufacturing, food processing and metal works) in Sarajevo Macroregion and Zlatibor District
Project activities:
1.1. Consolidate and manage dynamics of Project Partnership for effective long-term collaboration
1.2. Analyse the regional innovation status and industry priorities for each strategic sector with focus on green and smart solutions
1.3. Evaluate market intelligence, innovation and commercialization capabilities of cross-border small and medium enterprises
1.4. Develop, test and evaluate Market Intelligence pilot services for supporting cross-border SMEs capacity development for innovation and commercialization of products and services
1.5. Provide support for strategic product/service and process development of cross-border small and medium enterprises
2.1. Develop, test and evaluate Public Funding Screening pilot services for supporting cross-border SMEs to jointly gain and seize opportunities for financing their innovations
3.1. Harmonization of cross-border education system for metal processing technicians with SMEs needs
Expected results Result 1. Enhanced support for SMEs capacity development and market intelligence for innovation and commercialization of products and services
Result 2. Enabled easier access to funding opportunities and increased SMEs know-how for application writing
Result 3. Increased employability of labour force by transfer of know-how for development and manufacturing of innovative products
Result 4. Facilitated joint cooperation and networking and set-up sector-oriented cross-border innovation networks involving SMEs, research organisations and public authorities
Result 5. Provided sector-oriented policy recommendations for enhancing the employment opportunities and economic growth of SMEs through green and smart innovations and product and services commercialization
Expected outputs 1. a) Two innovative support tools/ services developed
b) 12 branding and export operative plans, for a number of Small and Medium Enterprises from the Sarajevo Macroregion and Zlatibor District developed
