The European Union supports capacity building on EU standards for water supply for employees of the public administration in Rogatica and Kolašin.

The online training was completed on 16the December 2020. The 4-day training increased capacities of 20 staff of municipalities and water supply companies, which will improve the operating standards in water supply in the two municipalities.

The topics included EU standards for water supply, to identify standards for sustainable water supply development, to identify institutions which are crucial for implementation of standards for sustainable development and to get acquainted with modern work concept of public utility companies for water supply for operative operations and maintenance.

The training was organized within the cross-border project “Improving water supply management in urban and rural areas of  Kolašin and Rogatica municipalities” funded by the European Union in the amount of 486,661.00 euros, and implemented by the Municipality of Rogatica in cooperation with the Municipality of Kolašin.

Besides capacity building of the key stakeholders in water supply, this project also includes procurement of specialized equipment for detection of water losses, preparation of project documentation for protection of water wells, preparation of standard operative procedures and construction of water supply infrastructure.
