Description Overall objective: Health Population Risk Moderation and Irregular Waste Release Adverse Influence on the Environment
Specific objectives: 1.Education and improvement of skills to citizens within the selection and regular waste management and reduction of litter sites – wild dump and quantity waste deposit; 2.Strengthening of communal utilities’ capacities for regular waste management and risks1. The package activities under the action involves education, cleaning, awareness activities in both RNM and RSR in order to provide greater cross-border cooperation.
The action foresees inclusion of the following institutions in RSR and RNM:
Serbia: a) at local level, Municipalities of Vranje; b) regional level Regional Chamber of Commerce of Jablanica and Pcinja administrative districts, Tourist cluster of the Republic of Southeast Serbia; c) central level Ministry of Environmental Protection; d) education level elementary and secondary schools in Municipality of Vranje.
North Macedonia: a) at local level, municipalities of Saraj, Butel, Gjorce Petrov, Zelenikovo and Petrovec; b) regional level Chamber of Commerce for Tourism; c) central level Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning; d) education level elementary and secondary schools in Municipality of Saraj, Butel, Gjorce Petrov, Zelenikovo and Petrovec;

As an added-on element will be involved in cross-border site visits and exchange-learning of Cadastar of wild dumps and implementation of cleaning activities that are foreseen under this action. Indeed, through this joint action, new linkages can be formed to enable further environmental activities for protection on human health and environment.

2. Strengthening of communal utilities’ capacities for regular waste management and risks
Under the proposed action, Study visit in Slovenia will be conducted, procurement of the containers, gain authorization from the municipalities for field implementation of the selection containers and information boards.
The action foresees will be managed as follows:
Serbia: Study visit in Slovenia procurement of the containers, gain authorization from the municipalities for field implementation of the selection containers and information boards will be manage by PU Komrad, Vranje
North Macedonia: procurement of the containers, gain authorization from the municipalities for field implementation of the selection containers and information boards will be manage by PU KHS for the municipalities Saraj, Butel, Gjorce Petrov. For municipalities Zelenikovo and Petrovec procurement of the containers, gain authorization from the municipalities for field implementation of the selection containers and information boards will be manage by PU Zelenikovo and PU Petrovec.
Expected results R.1 Reduction of litter-sites and wild dumps and prevention of new litter-sites creation
R.2 Manufactured Cadastral on wild dumps / litter-sites for mutual cross-border territory of Serbia and North Macedonia R.3 Improved skills and competences of the personnel employed
R.4 Provision of essential equipment necessary for efficient waste management
Expected outputs Analysis of the current position of wild dumps in the region included in the project
Cleaning of wild dumps
Training of students / pupils and citizens (target groups) included in the project
Placement of specialized waste containers
Developing of cadastral on wild dumps / litter-sites for mutual cross-border territory of Republic of Serbia and Republic of North Macedonia
Educational Study visit to a dump and the RCERD Ljubljana “Green City” Republic of Slovenia
