The Joint Technical Secretariat with the support of the Operating Structures of the IPA CBC Programme Montenegro – Kosovo 2014-2020 (Office for European Integration in Montenegro, Ministry of Finance of Montenegro – Directorate for Finance and Contracting of the EU Assistance Funds (CFCU) and Ministry for Local Government Administration in Kosovo) organised two three-day PCM trainings for potential applicants from Kosovo and Montenegro.

The trainings were held in Peja/Peć (Kosovo) in period 23-25 October 2019 and Bijelo Polje (Montenegro) from 30 October – 1 November 2019. These trainings were attended in total by 29 participants representing different stakeholders such as local authorities, national authorities, public institutions, local and national NGOs, etc.

The three-day training aimed to provide the participants all necessary elements and information needed for them to be able to understand the grant preparation process, cross–border partnerships and project development process according to the logical framework approach. These events presented an opportunity for participants to learn the Project Cycle Management basics through practical work, examples, group discussions and questions and answers, as well as through discussion and advice on how to fulfill and overcome common mistakes within various sections of the Concept Note and Grant Application Form. In addition, through group works, the participants were trained to create a logical framework matrix and use those pieces of information to complete certain parts of the concept note and application form.

The trainings provided are part of the Technical Assistance to the IPA CBC Programmes Montenegro – Albania and Montenegro – Kosovo funded by the European Union.
