The final conference of the EU-funded project “New Open-Air Sites for Better Quality of Tourism Products – Open-Air Everywhere!” (implemented under IPA II CBC programme Serbia – Bosnia and Herzegovina) was held in Tuzla on 16 December 2024. Alongside project partners—City of Tuzla, Tourism Board of the City of Tuzla, Development Association NERDA, and Tourism Organization of Western Serbia—the conference gathered representatives of key stakeholders, tourism boards, public institutions, service providers in the tourism sector, and NGOs.
This event served as an opportunity to present the project’s key results, aimed at improving tourist offerings and services in the cross-border area and strengthening the capacities of the tourism sector in the Zlatibor District and Tuzla Canton to attract more tourists. A significant portion of the activities focused on networking stakeholders in the region’s tourism sector and promoting the joint tourist offerings created through the project.
Participants were introduced to the project’s main achievements in both countries, with a particular emphasis on small-scale investments in upgrading special outdoor content, such as equipping the recreational park at Ilinčica in Tuzla (B&H) and establishing nine eco-friendly camping zones in the Western Serbia region.
A joint video, designed and produced as part of the project, was presented to showcase the new open-air tourism offerings across all 10 cross-border localities targeted by the project.
