| Description | Overall objective: Stimulating the creation of the system for sustainable environment by enhancing the management of natural resources in cross border area in Montenegro and Kosovo. Specific objective: Develop the potential of Peja and Bjelo Polje municipalities in managing of the protection and preserving of water resources. The foreseen activities within the project are: 1. Improved water management in municipality of Peja (Kosovo) and Bjelo Polje (Montenegro) 1.1. Signing MoU with Municipality of Peja and Bijelo Polje; 1.2. Conduct a need assessment research on water management current situation in Peja and Bjelo Polje, 1.3. Procure, disseminate and install Smart water meter system at the selected area in the cross border municipalities; 1.4. Capacity building trainings on system management and installing of the tools for measurement of the water systems; 1.5. Record water supplying systems and entering data’s into the Data Systems Offices in both Regional Water Companies; 1.6. Research on water loss and charging in water utilities in Peja and Bijelo Polje 1.7. Conducting study visits in public companies in Peja and Bijelo Polje for exchanging the experiences and share the knowledge 2. Increased knowledge and awareness of population in Peja and Bijelo Polje on need and importance of preserving water resources 2.1. Kick-off Conference for presentation of the project 2.2. Creation of Communication and Visibility Plan. 2.3. Design, and update of the websites for both companies; 2.4. Information and education campaign for utilization of water in the targeted cross area regions; 2.5. Closing conference for presentation of the results |

| Expected outputs | Expected project outputs are: – Two Memorandum of Understanding signed with municipalities; – Two need assessment research conducted on water management current situation in Peja and Bjelo Polje; – Procured and installed Smart water meter system in Bijelo Polje and Peja; – 2 Capacity building trainings on system management and installing of the tools for measurement of the water systems for 16 personal members; – Recorded water supplying systems and entering data’s into the Data Systems Offices in both Regional Water Companies; – Two zone mapping researches on water loss and charging in water utilities in Peja and Bijelo Polje; – Two Organized two study visits in public companies in Peja and Bijelo Polje for exchanging the experiences and share the knowledge; – One kick-off Conference and One closing conference organized; – Two upgraded websites; – Two Information and education campaign for utilization of water in the targeted cross area regions conducted; |
