Main activities |
The project covered a range of joint planning and implementation of school activities related to ecology and sports, including:
- analysis of the demand for training in the field of ecology, swimming and skiing;
- forming ecological-sport sections in both schools;
- organising swimming and skiing courses;
- student training in the field of ecology;
- research work and creation of ecology database, and exchange of research results;
- evaluation of ecology and sports training;
- organising competitions and awarding certificates to the students;
- printing of T-shirts, newspapers, flyers, annual bulletin, web presentation, etc.

Main results |
The main results of the project were as follows:
- Cross-border communication between representatives of the schools was established and conditions were created for communication and research work by students and teachers.
- Teaching and other related material were developed and the schools carried out the training and the exchange of knowledge; experience and skills were developed in the field of ecology, leading to positive changes in young people towards the surroundings, environment and research.
- The schools conducted training in swimming and skiing, sports skills of students were improved and student awareness of the importance of sport was raised, leading to a positive change in young people in relation to themselves, their peers and a healthy lifestyle.

Aspects of good practice |
Although “Together Through Ecology and Sports Towards Healthy Europe” was a small scale project it was a particularly innovative action that promoted in a tangible way the cooperation on a cross-border basis and laid the foundations for sustainable benefits for the young people and the wider community in the cross-border region. |
