I2 Space training: Graphic design for entrepreneurs was organized in the period from 08 to 10 July 2020 in the premises of the Center of Competences Podgorica. The aim of this training was to acquaint participants with the basic postulates of graphic design, the basics of working in Photoshop (and/or its free surrogate on the web – www.photopea.com) in order to apply the acquired knowledge, through the practical part of this training and develop the concept of visual identity of their projects for print and digital media.
The first day was related to the theoretical part where the lecturer Dejan Jocic spoke about graphic design and its elements (line, shape, color, texture, space and typography), about the principles of design and what is it that precedes a successful graphic solution, and later analyzed various examples of images together with the training participants.
On the second day, the participants moved on to the practical part of the training, which is learning how to use Photoshop (the program and tools that the program itself contains). Then, trainer did 1 on 1 mentoring with them, in order to have an insight into how the participants followed his example from Photoshop, explained to them if they had any doubts and gave them guidelines for improving their work in the program.
Topic of the third day was going into details about the photos and its elements, and at the end, the participants had the opportunity to photograph each other, rearrange the images and apply the learned elements through Photoshop. With the recommended literature and links to free resources on the Internet, participants are encouraged to continue to improve the acquired knowledge.
The three-day training was organized within the project “Self-employment and social entrepreneurship for youth”. The project is supported under the cross-border program Montenegro – Kosovo* 2014-2020 and is funded by the European Union.
