Description
Description
The overall objective of the project to increase the attractiveness of the underutilized tourism potential of the region in cooperation with entrepreneurs stimulating the arrival of guests and creation of new jobs in the tourism sector.
Specific objective 1: To increase the role of entrepreneurs in tourism development by creating joint tourist packages covering northern Herzegovina and Danilovgrad/Niksic area and increase the attractiveness of the tourism offer.
Specific objective 2: To make neglected tourist locations in the cross-border area more desirable and visible on the tourist market.
Planned activities:
1.1.1. Joint destination research of tour agencies, media and local stakeholders (identification of potentials)
1.1.2. Capacity building (trainings) of key local stakeholders
1.1.3. Development of local Visitor Management Action Plans (that will further harmonize understanding of local authorities, entrepreneurs and travel agencies)
1.2.1. Identification of packages (for potential groups of tourists such as school trips, regional tourists, pensioners, cultural tourists…)
1.2.2. Testing daily package activities (simulation of visits and training of tourism workers) and finalization of packages and signing cooperation agreements
1.3.1. Development of storytelling in local cuisine and typical local crafts
1.3.2. Certification of interpretative writers / development of storytelling in local libraries and galleries
1.4.1. Concept development with (I) local designers and artists, (II) local craftsman, (III) local historians and naturalists
1.4.2. Materialisation, packaging and branding
1.5.1. Procurement of equipment
1.5.2. Creation and application of solutions
1.6.1. Conceptualization, theme selection and puzzle design (connecting touristic attractions of all 5 target municipalities)
1.6.2. Technology integration (purchasing equipment and room layout), testing and iteration
2.1.1: Promotional tours and publications
2.1.2: Technical assistance for improving touristic presentations at local portals
2.2.1: Promotion through online media
2.2.2: Organizing promotional tourist tours (events)
Achievements in english
Result 1:
1.1 The understanding and knowledge of local stakeholders about tourism in 5 local communities improved
1.2 Tourism packages (minimum 6) developed and tested
1.3 The concept of “storytelling” around 3 different tourism services developed and their attractiveness increased
1.4 Three common sets of souvenirs will be developed
1.5 Attractiveness of 4 locations increased by introducing architectural lighting design shows
1.6 A new tourism product “game of the region” will be created as new interactive experiences in the region
Result 2:
2.1 Tourism potentials of norther Herzegovina, Nikšić and Danilovgrad promoted
2.2 Promotion of 6 tourism packages completed
