The final conference of the project “Development and Implementation of Programs in Response to the Needs of Children with Behavioral Disorders,” organized by the Provincial Institute for Social Protection, was held on October 10, 2024, at the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in Novi Sad.
The conference was opened by the director of the Provincial Institute for Social Protection, Maja Miljković, who emphasized the importance of this project for improving the protection of children with behavioral disorders. She highlighted the significance of institutional cooperation and praised the involvement of all partners and participants, noting the positive changes achieved in the lives of the children and their families.
The Provincial Secretary for Social Policy, Demography, and Gender Equality, Predrag Vuletić, and the Program Manager from the EU Delegation to Serbia, Konstantinos Supilas, also addressed the attendees, commending the project’s success and suggesting further development opportunities.
The children’s perspective was presented through a short film in which they shared how the Daycare service has positively impacted their lives, offering the most important viewpoint on the project’s achievements.
The goal of this project was to improve services and support for children with behavioral disorders. Key results were presented at the conference, experiences were exchanged, and local communities were encouraged to develop various forms of support for at-risk children and those with behavioral issues.
